Mom, 43, Chaperoned Junior High Dance, Then Allegedly Had a Child with Daughter’s 14-Year-Old Date
An Illinois woman is facing serious criminal charges after authorities say she gave birth to a child fathered by her teenage daughter’s friend, a boy who was just 14 at the time of conception.
According to court records and a probable cause affidavit reviewed by People, investigators began looking into 43-year-old Robyn Polston after she gave birth in early 2025. The Washington Police Department discovered that the newborn shared the same middle and last name as a boy who had been her daughter’s date at a junior high dance she chaperoned in May 2023.
When police confronted Polston, she initially claimed the child’s father was a man in his 20s who had no further involvement. But as the investigation unfolded, officers obtained a DNA test that reportedly confirmed the father was the teenage boy.
The affidavit further alleges that a large number of sexually explicit photos and videos involving Polston and the youth were found during the investigation.
Polston was arrested on multiple charges, including criminal sexual assault with a victim between the ages of 13 and 17 and possession of child pornography. If convicted, she could face decades in prison.
Legal proceedings are ongoing, and she is scheduled to appear in court later this year.
