Moms Are Trying to Identify DoorDash Driver After Doorbell Camera Caught Him Hitting on a 12-Year-Old Boy
A North Carolina mother says a routine food delivery turned into something deeply unsettling after reviewing footage from her home security camera.
Now, after the video spread online, mothers across social media say they’re trying to help identify the man in the footage, sparking a wider conversation about safety when delivery drivers come to the door.
The woman, identified as Andria Frazier, had ordered food through DoorDash one evening earlier this year. But when she checked her doorbell camera footage afterward, she says she saw something that immediately alarmed her.
According to the video she later shared online, the delivery driver allegedly made inappropriate comments to her 12-year-old son while standing at the family’s front door.
The footage quickly spread across social media, where many parents said the interaction made them uneasy and began sharing the video in hopes of identifying the man involved.
The interaction caught on camera
Frazier told local outlets that the delivery arrived around 7 p.m., and the entire interaction was captured by her doorbell camera.
In the video, the driver rings the doorbell and waits outside. When Frazier’s son answers, the man allegedly says to the boy, “You are beautiful, are you taken?” before repeating the comment again.
The boy appears confused by the interaction and shuts the door shortly afterward.
Frazier later posted the footage online, warning other parents and asking if anyone recognized the man seen in the video.
Social media quickly began sharing the video
After the footage was shared publicly, many parents and local residents began reposting the video and commenting that they were trying to help identify the person involved.
Within a short time, people online said they believed they had identified the man.
Public records later indicated that the individual believed to appear in the video had previously been convicted of sexual battery involving an adult and had been listed on the North Carolina sex offender registry.
As of the most recent reports, authorities have not announced any new criminal charges related to the doorbell camera incident.
DoorDash says the person was not an authorized driver
After the video began circulating widely online, DoorDash addressed the situation in a statement.
According to the company, the man seen in the video was not an authorized DoorDash driver and may have been using someone else’s account to make deliveries.
The company said the account connected to the order has since been deactivated and that it is cooperating with law enforcement.
Parents say the video is unsettling
For many families, food delivery services have become a normal part of busy evenings. But after seeing the video, many parents online said the incident served as a reminder to be cautious about who answers the door.
Others pointed out that the situation also highlights the value of doorbell cameras and other home security devices, which can capture unexpected interactions and provide evidence when something concerning happens.
For now, the video continues circulating online, with many parents sharing it and urging others to remain alert.
